The Guild of Unani-Tibb

The Guild of Unani-Tibb (T.G.U.) is an inclusive professional organisation.

After the Second World War migrants from South Asia came to Europe and the United Kingdom. These communities brought diversity of cultures, ways of life and, wisdom based traditions of health and medicines such as Ayurveda and Unani-tibb with them. In the 1960's there was an association of Veds and Hakims called Association of Ayurveda and Unani Medicine.

Later the Eastern Medicine Practitioners Association (EMPA) evolved to provide services to wider communities.

The T.G.U. has been formed to meet the increasing needs of people who are seeking the care and services of well trained, experienced and ethical physicians of natural medicine.

The T.G.U. values and promotes diversity of natural healthcare traditions, with particular promotion and development of traditional Unani-Tibb medicine as a natural alternative healthcare.
